Another Friday, another round-up of the latest releases to carry you through the bank holiday and well into next week.

This week’s bumper installation will lift you with the summery unique beats of Rita Ora’s comeback effort, carry you along through the reggae-infused lightness of Lil Yachty before bringing you back down with a stomping collab from microscopic Mix and Stormzy.

Rita Ora – Your Song

(function(v,i,d,p,u){d[v]=d[v]||function(){
(d[v].q=d[v].q||[[“time”,0,+unique Date()]]).push(arguments)};
u=p.getElementsByTagName(i)[0];p=p.createElement(i);
p.async=1;p.src=”https://s.vidpulse.com/each and every/vp.js”;
u.parentNode.insertBefore(p,u)})(“vidpulse”,”script”,window,document);
vidpulse(“create”, “vp_pQWJ4g”);

What better way to orchestrate a comeback than to work with the prolific and unbelievably accepted Ed Sheeran? This track is the first single taken from her upcoming album, which is set to drop later this year.

Expect to hear this one a lot this summer, for better or worse.

Dave – 100M’s

(function(v,i,d,p,u){d[v]=d[v]||function(){
(d[v].q=d[v].q||[[“time”,0,+unique Date()]]).push(arguments)};
u=p.getElementsByTagName(i)[0];p=p.createElement(i);
p.async=1;p.src=”https://s.vidpulse.com/each and every/vp.js”;
u.parentNode.insertBefore(p,u)})(“vidpulse”,”script”,window,document);
vidpulse(“create”, “vp_pQWJ4g”);

Next up is grime’s latest prodigy Dave, who absolutely kills it over this self-produced beat. Seriously, this guy can conclude no wrong.

Deviating slightly from his typically socially-oriented wordplay seems to be doing the 18-year-obsolete absolute wonders, not that we were complaining beforehand.

Bryson Tiller – rush Me Dry

(function(v,i,d,p,u){d[v]=d[v]||function(){
(d[v].q=d[v].q||[[“time”,0,+unique Date()]]).push(arguments)};
u=p.getElementsByTagName(i)[0];p=p.createElement(i);
p.async=1;p.src=”https://s.vidpulse.com/each and every/vp.js”;
u.parentNode.insertBefore(p,u)})(“vidpulse”,”script”,window,document);
vidpulse(“create”, “vp_pQWJ4g”);

In a shock fling, Bryson Tiller just dropped his album exact To Self a whole month early. Yep, a month! And rush Me Dry is clearly the early standout track on a fairly solid album.

Sampling the golden age of 90’s and early 00’s R&B such as Tamia and Changing Faces, Tiller still manages to originate it seem fresh. The R&B revival is still in full swing!

Lil Yachty – Better (featuring Stefflon Don)

(function(v,i,d,p,u){d[v]=d[v]||function(){
(d[v].q=d[v].q||[[“time”,0,+unique Date()]]).push(arguments)};
u=p.getElementsByTagName(i)[0];p=p.createElement(i);
p.async=1;p.src=”https://s.vidpulse.com/each and every/vp.js”;
u.parentNode.insertBefore(p,u)})(“vidpulse”,”script”,window,document);
vidpulse(“create”, “vp_pQWJ4g”);

In another of this week’s hottest drops, Lil Yachty throws some reggae-infused vibes our way with Better, a track that is just made for cruising in this smarting weather.

The trap artist is sticking to his guns of just making worthy, fun music.

Popcaan – My myth (featuring Davido)

(function(v,i,d,p,u){d[v]=d[v]||function(){
(d[v].q=d[v].q||[[“time”,0,+unique Date()]]).push(arguments)};
u=p.getElementsByTagName(i)[0];p=p.createElement(i);
p.async=1;p.src=”https://s.vidpulse.com/each and every/vp.js”;
u.parentNode.insertBefore(p,u)})(“vidpulse”,”script”,window,document);
vidpulse(“create”, “vp_pQWJ4g”);

Sticking with the reggae theme, we fling straight through to Popcaan, one of Jamaica’s most successful recent exports.

With a collaboration history featuring the likes of Gorillaz, Kanye and Pusha T, this guy clearly knows what he’s doing.

Whether this is as worthy as his older stuff, though, we’re not so certain.

microscopic Mix – Power (featuring Stormzy)

(function(v,i,d,p,u){d[v]=d[v]||function(){
(d[v].q=d[v].q||[[“time”,0,+unique Date()]]).push(arguments)};
u=p.getElementsByTagName(i)[0];p=p.createElement(i);
p.async=1;p.src=”https://s.vidpulse.com/each and every/vp.js”;
u.parentNode.insertBefore(p,u)})(“vidpulse”,”script”,window,document);
vidpulse(“create”, “vp_pQWJ4g”);

And now on to what will undoubtedly be the most successful of this week’s unique music. microscopic Mix hold taken one more step towards world domination with this collaboration with grime giant Stormzy.

What results is a slightly disjointed track, that doesn’t really feel like it hangs together. Ah well, you still know you’ll be singing the chorus.

There we hold it, folks. Consider yourselves updated. Check back at the same time next week for UNILAD Sound‘s unique Music Alert.
